We have an extensive team of talented and professional staff who are devoted to the care of our residents. We actively encourage and support training and professional development with a real emphasis on looking to the future. We have staff undertaking their nursing qualifications in both RGN and Nurse Associate degrees through local universities
We are a nursing home that is nurse led both day and night. Our current staffing levels ensure the care for all residents (maximum of 35 residents) are safe, responsive and effective in adapting and changing with the needs of the individual residents as required.
Our Team at Lakeshore
To maintain a ratio of 5:1 – five residents to one carer in the morning we have six trained carers, three on each floor (two will be a senior carer allowing them to lead their floor). The nurses and carers do not have extended roles into activities or any domestic duties; they are purely there for the nursing care and the wellbeing of each residents.
We have two dedicated Activity Co-ordinators who are trained to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. They cover the daily activities each day of the week and are able to step into the care role should the need arise. We also have an Oral Care Lead who is on the floor daily and works closely with our local dentists. Our ancillary team includes administration, maintenance, housekeeping and catering teams.
